are your web browser secure enough?

Today, web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari (to name a few), are installed on almost all computers. Because web browsers are used so frequently, it is vital to configure them securely. Often, the web browser that comes with an operating system is not set up in a secure default configuration. Take note that, not securing your web browser can lead quickly to a variety of computer problems caused by anything from spyware being installed without your knowledge to intruders taking control of your computer.
 
There is an increasing threat from software attacks that take advantage of vulnerable web browsers. 
New software vulnerabilities are exploited and directed at web browsers through use of compromised or malicious web sites. 

This problem is made worse by a number of factors, including the following:
  • Many users have a tendency to click on links without considering the risks of their actions.
  • Web page addresses can be disguised or take you to an unexpected site.
  • Many users do not know how to configure their web browsers securely.
  • Many users are unwilling to enable or disable functionality as required to secure their web browser.
As a result, exploiting vulnerabilities in web browsers has become a popular way for attackers to compromise computer systems.

Clear Your Browser's Cache

Every web browser stores web pages, images and other downloaded content on the computer. 
This is called the browser's cache

After the browser opens, click on "Tools"


Now click on Clear Recent History. Alternatively, you can access this menu directly by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete.




Now, beside "Time range to clear", click "Everything".


Click on Details and select only Cache. 



Select Clear Now.


Clearing it occasionally or regularly can protect your privacy and free up some space in your computer.

www is commonly known as The Web.
It is a system of interlinked hypertext documents contained on the Internet.
With a web browser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos and other multimedia.
We can navigate all of it by using hyperlinks. For example,
Hyperlinks are created with an "href" tag (hyperlink reference).
In it's simplest form the tag looks like this:


In this example, the text "Go To Page 1" becomes a hyperlink to a page called "page1.html". The link looks like this: Go to page 1

Most of us do not know that some of the web has become criminals' preferred pathway of spreading malware.So, each time you are browsing the net, make sure that you will not become one of these criminal's victim.

can web be a dangerous place?

Back in the “olden days” of the World Wide Web, “seeing the sites” was a relatively safe activity. Most Web pages were written in simple HTML, with text and pictures and not much else. Of course, the very first browsers were text-only. HAHA
In 1990's, new technologies emerged to make Web browsing a richer, more entertaining and more interactive experience. Soon Web pages contained much more than text and pictures. Web designers began to use scripting and other embedded code to make their pages come alive. Microsoft introduced ActiveX, an outgrowth of OLE and COM technologies, that provides functionality similar to Java applets but with more flexibility (and posing a bigger security risk) because ActiveX controls can access the Windows operating system.
Scripts, applets and ActiveX controls can all be embedded in Web pages to do some amazing things, but they can also be used by malicious coders to do not-so-wonderful things such as infecting your computer with a virus, surreptitiously install software on your machine that will allow a hacker to take control of it, launch an attack, etc. This is due to the nature of the technologies; like all technologies, it can be used for good or evil.
As if that weren’t enough, all popular Web browsers (like all software of every type) have security flaws, some more serious than others.

do you like browsing the net?
for me, its a must for every people.
they love browsing the net!!

but it is impossible to browse it without using the 'browser'
so,i would like to talk a bit about web browser.

web browser is a software application for;

retrieving, presenting, and traversing

Nowadays, we have many types of web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Seamonkey,  Opera, Camino, Amaya etc.

Each of the web browser can be updated from time to time to make sure that we can browse the net easily and in a short time. They are really easy to use and it depends on us - which one to use.

D I E T I N G ?

are you on a diet?
feeling so eager to lose your weight?
well, here are some tips that i found out today.
its about how you can lose your weight without dieting.

Feed your real hunger.
detect what kind of food that you really wanted to eat.
do not follow your heart.

Keep a food journal.
ha, maybe you can start jotting down types of food that you eat,
and include your feeling after you ate the food.
it is very helpful especially in the future.
if you felt bored after eating it, maybe you wont eat it anymore.
right?

Create new habits.
many of us prefer to eat rather than exercising.
and its totally bad for our health if we didnt control it.
in spite of picking 'eating' as your habit during leisure time,
you can have new habit.
this is because, when you are active in doing something else,
you would probably forget to eat too much.
i mean you just eat in the needed amount.
no junk foods!

Rethink your rewards.
typically, people will celebrate their happiness by eating in restaurants which absolutely  have variety of  foods.
what if you change it a bit.
find nwe, affordable rewards such as earrings or maybe new clothes.

its good to have an awesome body shape with an ideal weight.
so what are you waiting for? 
just try to lose some weight without hurting yourselves.
